2. Treasurer’s Report

a. The GGNA has approximately $3,000 (Details to follow).

3. Newsletter

a. Approval of Newsletter to update membership on election results and long and short-term initiatives.

4. GGNA Website

a. Consensus on need to update including a Spanish version.

5. Initiatives/Committees

a. Discussion on Initiatives and Committees to be made in 2008.

6. Youth Committee

a. Revive summer basketball tournament (Johnny Elias to head)

b. Initiate spring soccer tournament.

c. Coordination of high school students tutoring Campbell Terrace residents in computers

i. Mary Escobar to coordinate youth involvement.

ii. Johnny Elias to coordinate with Campbell Terrace.

iii. John Burns to spec computer, printer, etc.

7. Seniors Committee

a. Campbell Terrace Computer Initiative

b. Senior Citizens’ Days

i. Coordinate with local business for discounts for seniors.

c. Tutoring the area’s youth.

8. Neighborhood Beautification Committee

a. Re-establish Committee

b. Reach out to Residents and Businesses

10. Fundraising Committee

a. Habitat for Humanity re: Bingham Street lots (could come from Neighborhood Beautification as well).

11. Zoning & Planning Committee

a. Recent meeting boycotted by losing slate.

b. Need to discuss ways to rebuild.

12. Public Safety Committee

a. Committee to touch base with Sally, Joe, Jim, & Jon to see how we can work together.

13. Humboldt Park Social Services Initiative

a. Men’s dinners (+/- 70 homeless men)

b. Donate Pies & Salads

c. GGNA should try to establish relationship with this group to help in general and specifically with Holiday dinners and other events.

14. Organization

a. Identify final two board members.

b. Decision to hold next two BOD meeting privately to organize.
